From the perspective of developers
A two-day conference for developers is taking place for the first time in the context of DIGILITY. It provides them with space and time to exchange ideas and discuss the themes in more depth. The following themes, among others, will be presented; “The challenge to design powerful VR applications,” “Solutions for large CAD data automatic preparation & optimization,” “Spatial Sound – Immersive3D Audio Developing,“ “xR applications with Unity technology,” and “Ways to develop Deep Learning Applications.”

Developers with an interest in real time 3D, xR technology, and human-machine interaction, as well as UX and game designers, prototypers, entrepreneurs, and project managers are also invited to become active themselves: in keeping with the motto “Collaboratively Hack xR Challenges,” a 32-hour non-stop hacking will take place on 24/25 September 2018. The goal is the formulation of solutions as to how xR technologies can support collaboration within companies in the future. The results will be presented during DIGILITY. The best solutions will be recognized with prizes having a total value of 8,500 Euro. All participants will receive a DIGILITY ticket for 26 and 27 September 2018, as well as accommodations at no charge. The Hackathon is taking place with the support of Audi AG and other partners.

Expo in around 2,000 square meters
Shown, for example, will be AR navigation systems for complex environments, real time collaboration tools with the support of smart glasses, gesture recognition, and voice control, or mixed reality applications for product presentation.

Representatives of medium-sized companies can join one-hour tours of the exhibition several times each day in order to acquire an overview of the exhibited technologies and solutions, as well as deeper insight into the subject matter.
