Lasso regression...and more... are these separate methods with special names, or is there a unifying method to doing data science with these methods? Using a variety of examples, copious amounts of illustrations, and a minimum amount of equations and code, I will demystify these terms and more, showing how they relate to one another. Building on that, I will then briefly highlight how probabilistic programming, in particular, PyMC3, can be a valuable toolkit in our data-driven quest for insights.
